Randy Pausch - The Last LectureReally Achieving Your Childhood DreamsWith equal parts humor and heart, Carnegie Mellon professor and alumnus Randy Pausch delivered a one-of-a-kind last lecture that moved an overflow crowd at the university — and went on to move audiences around the globe. Carnegie Mellon Professor Randy Pausch (Oct. 23, 1960 - July 25, 2008) gave his last lecture at the university Sept. 18, 2007, before a packed McConomy Auditorium. In his moving presentation, "Really Achieving Your Childhood Dreams," Pausch talked about his lessons learned and gave advice to students on how to achieve their own career and personal goals. Randy died July 25 of complications from pancreatic cancer. He was 47. Randy's family is planning a private burial. A campus memorial service is being planned and details will be announced at a later date. |
