Noosa Place Resort - Accommodation Review
For accomodation during our time in Noosa we stayed at the Noosa Place Resort. We found it to be a great little family resort. They offer stylish two bedroom, two storey, fully self contained townhouses.Noosa Place Resort is a well established 4 star resort consisting of two bedroom townhouse style apartments which are fully self-contained with all modern appliances including dishwashers microwaves and fully air-conditioned. The resort boasts 3 pools, 2 pools gas heated and 2 hot spas in beautiful tropical surrounds and a tennis court. The resort is located half a minutes walk from the Noosa River, and is just near Gympie Terrace which offers some great Restaurants to dine in. Being located at Noosaville rather than Noosaheads means you can avoid the cut and bustle(and high prices) of Hasting Street of on the Sunshine Coast. However if you wish to visit Hasting's Street it's just a three minute drive, twenty minute walk or a short ferry ride away. Our family stayed here for 8 Nights and thoroughly enjoyed it. The kids spent hours in the pool and we made lots of great friends with the other families staying in the neighbouring cabins. If you wish to book you can visit there Website, however we found it much cheaper to book via the Wotif Website.

PILU RESTORANTE & BAR - Restaurant Review, Noosa
As part of our recent holiday to Noosa we went out to Pilu Ristorante & Bar for dinner, the food was very enjoyable. The wine was probably a bit expensive, there was not much on the list for under $50 however we were able to order a pretty good pinot noir for $38. For Dinner we ordered pasta, I ordered a Squid-Ink Fettuccine, it was one of the finest pasta's I had eaten in a long time. Marlain really enjoyed the potato gnocchi with goat cheese & Rocket. The kids were quite happy with a Ham & Cheese pizza and then we indulged in sharing two deserts!
Below is a review written by Carolyn Beaton
Pilu Ristorante & Bar occupies a prominent corner position on Noosaville's Gympie Terrace, a bustling riverside precinct dotted with many fine restaurants. Pilu is no exception: though small, its modern take on classic Italian cuisine is big on style. It was awarded the Sunshine Coast's best Italian restaurant in 2004 and is a finalist again in 2005. The menu changes seasonally, although favourites include chef Philip Scott's specialty, gamberetti: an entree of fresh prawns grilled with garlic and chilli, served with spicy balsamic aioli, as well as a homemade fresh potato gnocchi with duck ragu. For those who would prefer something a little lighter there are entree-sized selections of pasta and risotto plus a range of gourmet pizzas to choose from. The comprehensive wine list features a range of over 50 Australian, New Zealand and Italian wines; or you can choose one of the Pilu favourite cocktails. Worthy of special mention are this restaurant's wait staff who distinguish themselves as consummate professionals - offering guidance through the menu for the uninitiated, along with polished and attentive service. On balmy summer evenings sit outside on the patio tables and take in the river breezes. In the cooler months a cosy log fire draws patrons inside. Bellissimo indeed!
