Intelligence

The podcast player that
learns you.

Every other podcast app treats every listener the same. Autohop Intelligence learns your shows' release schedules and your listening habits — then uses that knowledge to stay one step ahead. All on your device. All private. All automatic.

The longer you use it,
the smarter it gets.

Pocket Casts polls your feeds on a fixed schedule — the same schedule, for every show, for every listener. Overcast uses its own servers to crawl feeds centrally. Autohop Intelligence is different: it watches how your specific shows actually behave, builds a model of each one, and uses that model to always be in the right place at the right time.

No account required. No data leaves your phone. Just a podcast player that pays attention.

📱
Entirely on-device
Every learning, every decision, every prediction happens on your iPhone. No servers, no accounts, no cloud processing.
🔒
Private by design
Autohop Intelligence learns from you. It doesn't share what it learns — not with us, not with anyone.
Always improving
The system refines itself as more episodes accumulate. A podcast you've followed for a year is predicted more precisely than one you just subscribed to.
🤫
Works silently
You never configure it. You never train it. It observes and adapts entirely on its own, in the background.

Autohop Intelligence · Feature 1

Release Radar

Most apps check your feeds on a fixed schedule — every 30 minutes, every hour, the same for every show. Autohop Intelligence studies when each of your podcasts actually publishes and builds a personalised watch schedule for each one. It starts monitoring right before a new episode is expected, so when the episode drops, Autohop is already watching.

  • Learns the median publish interval from your show's last 10 episodes
  • Anchors predictions to the episode's own publish timestamp — so shows that release at the same time each day phase-lock automatically
  • Uses lightweight conditional HTTP requests during the watch window — each check is ~300 bytes if nothing has changed, so even checking every minute is gentle on battery and data
  • A show that goes quiet naturally backs off to slower checks; a new episode snaps it back to full sensitivity immediately
  • Radar Sensitivity is adjustable in Settings — from 1 minute for maximum freshness to 60 minutes for maximum battery conservation

Schedule Memory

Some feeds — hourly news bulletins, rolling updates — only ever show one episode at a time. There's no history in the feed to learn from, so other apps fall back to dumb fixed polling. Autohop remembers what the feed can't tell it.

  • Persists the publish times it has observed for each show, building its own history even when the feed exposes none
  • Derives the show's real schedule from that remembered history — an hourly bulletin gets watched hourly, automatically
  • Until enough history exists, the feed is checked at your Radar sensitivity, backing off automatically while nothing new appears
  • The longer you're subscribed, the more precisely each show is predicted

Schedule learned: hourlywatching
Even one-episode feeds get a real schedule — learned, remembered, and used.

Listening Insights

Autohop keeps a private, on-device record of your listening and turns it into a Stats page that actually tells you something — when you listen, what you listen to, and exactly how much time Autohop's audio engine has handed back to you.

  • Browse This Week, this month, this year, or all-time periods — each calendar-anchored and showing time listened, episodes finished, and your current listening streak
  • A listening heatmap and a 24-hour listening clock show the shape of your weeks and days at a glance
  • Top Shows ranks where your hours actually go, with rank movement against the previous period — tap any show for a detail card: episodes finished, time saved on that show, your share of listening, and how soon after release you typically get to it
  • Time Saved breaks down the minutes returned by variable speed, Trim Silence, skips, and auto-skip — feature by feature
Last 30 days · Stats

Your listening stats never leave this device.

Autohop Intelligence · Feature 4

Drift Detection

The more shows you subscribe to, the harder it is to notice when one has quietly stopped earning its place. Autohop's Stats page includes Shows You're Drifting From — a private view of the subscriptions you keep abandoning, with the evidence to back it up.

  • Classifies how each episode actually ended — finished, abandoned mid-listen, or archived unplayed — and scores each show on real outcomes
  • Blunt, specific insights: "Archived 6 of the last 8 unplayed", "You usually stop around the 12-minute mark"
  • Built to avoid false alarms — high-volume feeds your episode limit naturally cycles through are never flagged
  • Never acts automatically — tap a flagged show for its detail card and a shortcut to its settings, hide it from the list, or unsubscribe. Your call.

Autohop Intelligence learns from you.
It doesn't share what it learns.

Every other app that learns your behaviour does so to serve you ads, improve their algorithms, or sell insights to partners. Autohop Intelligence exists for exactly one purpose: to make your experience better. Everything it learns stays on your device, disappears when you delete the app, and is never transmitted anywhere.
